SYNTHESIS OF N-SUBSTITUTED BENZOTHIAZOLIN-2-THIONS AND RESEARCH
INTO THEIR ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES

N-substituted benzothiazolin-2-thiones which possess biocidal properties and are promising
antimicrobial additives for oil products were obtained by aminomethylation of 2-mercaptobenzothi-
azol. Aminomethylation reaction was carried out using methylene-bis-amines obtained by the inte-
raction of formaldehyde (in the form of formalin or paraform) with secondary amines or aminoalco-
hols. By NMR

H spectroscopy it was found that the aminomethylation reaction under the proposed
conditions proceeds at the nitrogen atom to obtain the corresponding N-substituted derivatives of
benzothiazolin-2-thiones. Salts of aminomethyl derivatives with petroleum naphthenic acid were
obtained, microbiological tests of which showed that they possess antimicrobial properties, moreo-
ver, their fungicidal action is higher than bactericidal.

Neft məhsullarına perspektivli, biosid xassəyə malik, antimikrob aşqar olan N-əvəzli benzo-
tiazolin-tionlar 2-merkaptobenzotiazolun aminometilləşməsi nəticəsində alınır. Aminometilləşmə
reaksiyası formaldehidlə (formalin və ya paraform şəklində) ikili amin və ya aminospirtlərin qarşı-
lıqlı təsirindən alınan metilen-bis-aminlərdən istifadə etməklə aparılır. NMR-spektroskopiya meto-
du ilə bu şəraitdə aminometilləşmə reaksiyasının azot atomunda getməsi təsdiq edilmişdir və N-
əvəzli benzotiazolin-2-tionların uyğun törəmələri alınmışdır. Benzotiazolin-2-tionların aminometil
törəmələrinin neft naften turşusu ilə duzları alınmış, mikrobioloji sınaqları tədqiq edilmişdir. Müəy-
yən edilmişdir ki, onlar antimikrob xassəyə malikdirlər, eyni zamanda, onların fungisid xassəsi bak-
terisid xassəsindən yüksəkdir.
