A LETTER FROM LONDON
DearAlice,
Hi! I'm on holiday in London. I (24) am staying with my friend, Jane. She (25) lives in the centre of London, near Hyde Park. I (26) have been here since Saturday and I (27) have already done lots of things. I (28) have visited the Tower of London, the British Museum and Madam Tussaud's. I (29) went to Madam Tussaud's on Monday . It (30) was terrible. When I (31) entered the Chamber of Horrors, I (32) screamed.
Yesterday Jane and I (33) went shopping. I (34) wanted to buy (35) some souvenirs. But while I (36) was paying for a T-shirt, someone (37) stole my bag. Luckily, this week I (38) have already spent nearly all my money. There (39) are a lot of things I (40) haven’t done yet . I (41) haven’t been on a boat trip down the Thames yet, I (42) haven’t seen the Millennium Dome. If the weather (43) is fine tomorrow, I (44) ’ll go on a boat trip. I hope Jane (45) can keep me company. I (46) like London very much. I (47) have never seen such a beautiful city. You (48) must visit it some day. I (49) am going to be back in a week, so I (50) ’ll call you then.
Love, Ann.
