Honest, creative or lazy? (personality adjectives)





  1. Read the text and answer the questions.






    • After the meetings, the boss said she was working with one creative, one honest and one lazy person. Who did she describe as which?

    • Do you agree with the boss?

    • Imagine you are late for work. What story would you tell your boss?



  1. Complete the sentences with the adjectives from the box.






  1. He’s usually really But this project is boring for him so he’s

being lazy: he doesn’t really want to do his tasks.

  1. Look at the sentences and choose the word that makes most sense. Discuss if you agree with the statements.

  2. You don’t need to be lazy/friendly to work well in a team.

  3. A responsible/shy person can’t be an actor.

  4. You can’t be a CEO of a company if you are too

kind/confident.



  1. Look at the list of words and say in which situations they are negative and in which they are positive.

EXAMPLE: talkative – It’s nice to have a talkative friend. It’s not really good when you have a talkative colleague who doesn’t let you work.

  1. Read the descriptions of three people. Answer the questions below and explain your answers.


Catherine: I'm a creative and talkative person because I love meeting new people. I like exciting adventures and I’m really energetic. I’m not super responsible so it’s sometimes difficult for me to find a job.
Joaquin: I'm an organized and tidy person who doesn’t like mess. I'm quiet, but I'm a good listener and I’m helpful. I also think I’m an intelligent person because I like to learn new things.
Chia-Ling: I’m generous and I like to give presents. I may be shy at first, but when you get to know me, I’m honest and loyal. That’s why I have a lot of good friends. I also think that I’m clever because I have a lot of great ideas.

  1. Look at the word cloud. Choose the words with any four initial letters from your name that describe you. Add your own words if necessary. Explain the words or give examples.


EXAMPLE:

I think I’m intelligent because I read a lot.
