I me
you you
he him
she her
it it
we us
you you
they them
We use subject pronouns as the subject of a verb:
I like your dress.
You are late.
He is my friend.
It is raining.
She is on holiday.
We live in England.
They come from London.
2.Possessive Pronouns in English
My > Mine
Your > Yours
Her > Hers
His > His
Its > possessive prono does not exist.
Our > Ours
Your > Yours
Their > Theirs
The most important thing about possessive pronouns is that, unlike possessive adjectives, a name cannot be used after these words. The main reason for this is that in the possessive pronoun in English, it is clear to whom the related object already belongs in the sentence.
3. Demonstrative Pronoun.
A demonstrative pronoun is a
pronoun that is used to point to something specific within a sentence. These pronouns can indicate items in space or time, and they can be either singular or plural.
When used to represent a thing or things, demonstrative pronouns can be either near or far in distance or time:
Near in time or distance: this, these
Far in time or distance: that, those
Because there are only a few demonstrative pronouns in the English language, there are just three simple rules for using them correctly. Remember them and you will have no difficulty using these surprisingly interesting parts of speech.
4.INDEFINITE PRONOUN DEFINITION & RULES
These pronouns are used to show unspecified objects or people, whether in plural or in singular.
They are used to indicate the entire noun or some of the noun or none of the noun.
They are used when we want to refer to group of nouns without actually specifying who or how much.
There are just two important rules for using indefinite pronouns correctly. Remember these and you will find that writing comes easier for you.
Indefinite pronouns, like collective nouns, can be singular or plural, depending on how they are used in a sentence
Singular indefinite pronouns take a singular verb; plural indefinite pronouns take a plural verb.
