According to the latest taxonomic arrangements the floristic list of new algal taxa of
Bacillariophyta phylum represented by 47 taxa distributed in fresh waters of Azerbaijan was
compiled. List of 28 new taxa (25 species and 3 infraspecies taxa) distributed in water bodies of south-
east part of Great Caucasus was presented in this research. Its ecology and distribution data of the
country‘s and the earth‘s fresh waters were presented.
