İşitme cihazları
Cerrahinin tercih edilmediği durumlarda alternatif 
olarak sunulmalıdır. Bu çocuklar erken amplifikas-
yondan yararlanabilirler. Bazı merkezler, çocuklar ve 
bebekler için özel olarak tasarlanmıştır ve implanta 
henüz hazır olmayan çocuklar için dış kulak yolundan 
ziyade kemik iletiminden yararlanan kulağın arkasın-
daki amplifikatörle giyilen işitme cihazlarını tercih 
etmektedir. 
EOM'deki işitme bozukluğu iletim tipi olduğu için, 
işitme cihazları iyileştirme açısından iyi bir fırsat su-
nar (20).

Sonuç:
İşitme kaybı süresi ve derecesi EOM'nin tedavi proto-
kolunubelirlemektedir. EOM’lı hastada altta yatan se-
bebe yönelik uygun bir tedavi yaklaşımı sergilenmeli-
dir. Erken tanı ve uygun tedavi hastanın konuşma ve 
dil gelişimine ve ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlayacaktır.
