Manage Your Content and Devices Learn The Secrets of Android and Unlock The Full Potential of Smartphones, Tablets and Smart... (Orville Carol Fred [Fred, Orville Carol]) (z-lib.org)

Chapter 6: Managing your smartphone
and Tablet
Android technology forms part of the most popular computing platform
throughout the whole world, in a very large part, due to its open-source
nature that is so so powerful and stunning. Several users around the world
have a really appreciable love for Android as a device, and for the plethora of
applications and several features that comes with it, and sleep because it is
very very very customizable, on the other hand in some cases, it can all get
confusing in a bit. Google is always making several and subsequent update,
tweaks and new features, as well as stunning features in it's hard ware which
makes it's use unique and just as user friendly as possible, and for it's user
and devices like Samsung, Tecno and LG can add their very own stuff on top
of that. It can actually be hard to keep up so well, so let's see how we can
manage a smartphone — Basically android, then Tablets and iPhone.

Configure Your Lock Screen
Android as a smartphone offers a variety of secure lock screens. Most
Android devices will prompt you to do this during the basic setup, as we saw
earlier and you should. The very basic defaults are PIN code, then the pattern,
and the password. In this age we're living in, most devices now can offer
fingerprint security which probably is the very fastest way for any user to
unlock his or her device. To control your lock screen, then you have to mine
over to the system settings, and there find the Security menu. Some devices
even have a different lock screen menu. This means that you will need to
have a secure lock screen to use features that may include Android Pay and
even the common factory reset protection.

Disabling Bloatware

Most mobile and smart phones come with some already pre-installed
applications, and for some of them, you won’t ever want to keep them
around. Anyway, you are lucky enough to know that in these days, any pre-
installed bloat can be adequately uninstalled by making use of the Play Store
or by finding it right in the application settings menu. Anyways, anything that
is part of the system image is non-removable. So what you can do is just for
you to disable it by opening the application menu, which you can access from
the main system settings. As soon as you finding the application in your list,
then right at the very top, there will be a button labeled 'Disable' that
eliminates it from your application cabinet and keeps it from running behind
the scenes.
