ANNOTATION
During the time of Peter I, the idea of conquering the Central Asian khanates of the Russian Empire appeared. From the beginning of the 19th century, the authorities of the empire started their initial efforts to implement this idea. For example, spies, expeditions, tourists, officers, scientists in the form of ambassadors were sent to the territory of the khanates, they collected and delivered to the center various regional information about the wealth of Turkistan , the lifestyle of its inhabitants, the military forces of the khanates, and the strategic situation in the country.

INTRODUCTION As a result of this information, starting from 1860, the Russian Empire began serious military efforts to conquer the territory of Turkistan . In addition, there were several reasons that accelerated the conquest of the Central Asian khanates by the Russian Empire, which included:
1. The existence of a cheap raw material base in Central Asia that continuously supplies the Russian light industry;
2. Due to the Crimean War (1853-1856), the loss of the Black Sea ports from Russia and their replacement by the occupation of Central Asian khanates, through Central Asia, losing the influence of England in countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, China, India, trade and diplomatic relations with these countries make connections.
3. Since Russia could not compete with the European markets, it was necessary to occupy the Central Asian markets to sell the manufactured products.
4. It was necessary to relocate the impoverished population due to land reforms in Russia and provide them with land.
