(summary) The author examines Narimanov’s services for his nation, calling attention to the contradictory evaluations of Narimanov’s ideas on account of political conditions during the Soviet period. According to the author, there are only seemingly contradictions in the ideas of Narimanov. The author characterizes Narimanov as a spokesman of the progressive ideals of the period. He emphasizes that Narimanov’s ideas shaped up under the influence of great Eastern philosophers who commend the social justice and equality, rather than bolsheviks.
