majority of the students participating in the test was

From

information it was clear that most of the students 
had attended the same school for 3 years (31.1%).

Data Analysis 
All data collected during the project were entered 
into a statistical program. Descriptive analyses 
were conducted to obtain information about the 
characteristics 
of 
participants 
and 
reading 
performances on the test. Demographic information 
consisted of items such as study environment, daily 
reading activities of students, time spent on 
television (TV) and computer, and library at home. 
In addition, reading performances of students from 
SOBAT®-II were collected in terms of reading 
rate, reading errors, and reading comprehension. 
All the reading performances were recorded on a 
digital voice recorder and all reading performances 
were checked for accuracy of data.
