image and a clear name to vague, scattered and hazy concepts, and thus has a strong impact on our
emotions. The need to vividly describe or express complex experiences in the mental world of the
heroes of the work is based on the use of metaphors by poets and writers, and creators in general.
The figurative, emotive and evaluative power of a metaphor is determined by the distance of its
constituent components from their literal meanings.[2]
The main feature of the image typical of the folk epic is that it requires all the things related
to the epic hero - horse, space, and time to be in motion together. Therefore, it is an epic law to
depict the actions and postures of the warrior riding along with the hero riding on a horse. The
retrospective image method is used in places where the character's behavior and situation during the
journey are described. The attention paid to our national traditions and values, the efforts of a
number of folklorists who are fruitfully creating in order to restore and pass on to the next
generation the rare masterpieces of the folk oral creativity, which are disappearing, scientific
research and researches, not only Uzbek youth, but also foreign tourists also increased their
attraction to this ancient culture. Famous bakhshis among the people began to pay special attention
to the art of bakhshi, polishing their creations.
Of course, this attention did not ignore the creations of many artists who create in all types
of visual arts. If we take only one painting, it was during these years that the development of folk
images, characters from epics and legends in painting became somewhat significant. The creative
freedom that prevails in the modern and artistic process, the independent choice of artistic means by
creators has opened the door to new opportunities. From the first days of our independence, among
the leading painters, talented young people began to fly in the field of creativity. Most of the works
created in the new period were dedicated to the interpretation of our national and religious values,
legends and stories of our people, epics and national heroes. It's no secret to all of us that when
people talk about epics, "Alpomish" epic comes to mind first. In the visual arts, artists, sculptors,
graphic artists, and miniaturists turned to the "Alpomish" epic.
The artist E. Masharipov also described the image of "Alpomish" in his own way, referring
to the characters of the epic. The artist depicted "Alpomish" in the form of a young man from
Surkhandarya in a sitting position. In the work "Alpomish" by O. Muinov, the legendary hero was
depicted in a battle dress holding his beloved Yari Oybarchin in the moonlight in the evening. In the
works of Akmal Nur, you can also find legendary images, images of heroic epics, and images of
heroes of romantic epics. The composition of the artist's work entitled "Majnun" (2004) is
represented by the figure of a fish with its mouth open and reaching towards the sky in a vertical
rectangular frame on a yellow-gold colored background. The image of a red apple in the mouth of a
fish is a symbol of love. In the symbol of the shape of a fish, the figure of Majnun, who bows his
head and closes his eyes, can also be seen. His bowed head is supported by the figure of a light
brown deer standing next to him, giving the impression that he is comforting the young man. The
fish's tail and the boy's body were covered with stones of different colors from the shoulders to the
bottom. The fish was used as a symbol of this love. In this regard, the artist managed to create
dozens of works in his own style. Many centuries have been created on the themes of epics,
legends, narratives and folk heroes in all types of visual arts. It is this theme that did not escape the
work of artists who work in modern miniatures. For example, artist P.Shobaratov's miniature
paintings of A.Navoi's epics are a proof of our opinion. We can see a new perspective and a new
approach in the depiction of the hunting scene of King Bahram in the epic "Sabayi Sayyor".
In this regard, M. Yoldoshev achieved a great creative achievement in the field of painting.
His works dedicated to the characters and plots of the folk epic - "Alpomish", "Barchinoy" and
dozens of other epics were warmly welcomed by fans of visual arts. In particular, the fact that the
creator referred to "Alpomish" several times indicates that the images of folk heroes in the artistic
process aroused great interest for the audience. The artist's works such as "Alopmish the Great Lion
