When assessing the existence of the information economy in the country, it is appropriate to
refer to the industry index, which is one of the indicators of the level of development of information
and communication technologies in the country and their impact on the overall competitiveness of
the state's economy in the international arena[5.]. This indicator indicates the degree of readiness of
the country for the widespread use of information and communication technologies for socio-
economic purposes.economic development. It includes 53 parameters grouped into three main
groups: the availability of conditions for the development of information and communication
technologies, the readiness of citizens, business circles and government agencies to use information
and communication technologies, shows the level of use of information and communication
technologies in the public, commercial and public sectors. To date, there is a positive trend in our
country in terms of sub-indices and technologies of general network readiness and "availability of
conditions for the development of information and communications".”, “the level of use of
information and communication technologies” and "the impact of information technology".

Singapore, Finland, Sweden, etc.). The fact that the number of Internet users in Uzbekistan has
exceeded 31 million, was reported (by a previous source) by the Minister for the Development of
Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov. According to him, a
significant part of Internet users — more than 29.5 million people (with a permanent population of
more than 36 million) - have access to the network via mobile phones. The capacity of interregional
backbone telecommunication networks has reached 600 Gbit/s, inter—district - 60 Gbit/s, the
minister said. In addition, 102 thousand square meters will be commissioned in 2021-2022. m
housing.fiber-optic communication lines m were laid, the total length of which reached 170
thousand kilometers [6.].
Thus, it can be noted that the information society in the Republic of Uzbekistan is actively
developing and improving. Currently, the attention of the state and society to this area is increasing,
