Wassermann reaction becomes positive 3-4 weeks after the appearance of a solid
chancre. From this moment, primary seronegativesyphilis passes into the stage of
primary seropositive syphilis.
At the end of the primary period of syphilis, specific polyadenitis develops
(generalization of the infectious process).
Features of the modern clinic of primary syphilis
1. The presence of a multitude of syphilis.
2. Registration of giant chancres.
3. Increased ulcerative variety of hard chancre.
4. Increased extragenital localization of solid chancre (lips, hands, hips, oral cavity,
anus).
5. Shortening the primary seronegative period.
Diagnosis of primary syphilis is based on:
1. Typical clinical picture.
2. Detection of pale treponema.
3. Positive reactions of serological research (DAC, RIF).
4. Confrontation data (examination of the alleged source of infection).
