3. Subset advertisements. It is sent immediately after changing the VLAN configuration, as well as after an alert request.
It is worth mentioning that the VTP switch, having received information about a new VLAN, includes it in the configuration only if it comes from a switch with a large revision number.
3. Task

3.1. In this practical work, according to the task option (Table 1), it is necessary to create a VLAN network, as an example, the topology presented in Figure 2 can serve as an example.

Figure 2. Network scheme with one switch

In this work, the task is to create 2 independent groups of computers. PK1-PK3 computers should be accessible to each other, and PK4 and PK5 computers should be an independent group.

3.1.1. Configure the switch
First, we will form the 2nd VLAN. Double-click the left mouse button on the switch. In the window that opens, go to the CLI tab. You will see a console window. Press Enter to enter commands. By executing the Enable command, we switch to privileged mode:
Switch>en
Usually, all PCs are combined into VLAN 1. We will create two more VLANs (2 and 3) on the switch to assemble the network we have planned. To do this, run the following command to enter configuration mode in privileged mode:
Switch#conf t
Now enter the VLAN 2 command. With this command, you create the second VLAN on the switch. Switch (config)# is replaced by Switch (config-vlan)#, which means that you are configuring only one VLAN, in this case VLAN 2, and not the entire switch (Figure 3).

Figure 3. List of commands to create VLAN 2

Via the VLAN 2 command, we create a new 2-digit VLAN on the switch.

The name subnet_5 command assigns a 2-digit virtual network subnet_5 name. By executing the interface range fast Ethernet 0/1-3 command, we proceed to the configuration of the fastEthernet 0/1, fastEthernet 0/2 and fastEthernet 0/3 interfaces of the switch. The word range in this command means that we are configuring a range of ports, not a single port.
The switch port mode access command configures the selected port of the switch as an access port. The switch port access vlan 2 command indicates that this port is a port for VLAN number 2.
Exit the configuration mode by double-clicking the exit command and view the configuration result by executing the show vl br command (Figure 4). We can see that a VLAN with the number 2 and the name subnet_5 appeared on the switch, its connection ports are fastEthernet 0/1, fastEthernet 0/2 and fastEthernet 0/3.
The show vl br command displays information about the available VLANs on the switch. As a result of the execution of the command, VLAN numbers (first column), VLAN name (second column), status of VLAN (whether it is working or not, third column), status of ports belonging to this VLAN will appear on the screen.
Then VLAN 3 named subnet_6 will be created in a similar way and we will assign fastEthernet 0/4 and fastEthernet 0/5 interfaces to its connection ports. The result is shown in Figure 4.
