Engage and serve students with disabilities, ages 3 to 22, pre-kindergarten through grade 12, in arts learning.
Implement arts education workshops or residencies of either 5 or less instructional hours per student or 6 or more instructional hours cumulatively per student in one or more of the following arts disciplines: performing (drama, dance, music), media, visual, and/or literary arts. Preference will be given to programs that have multiple sessions.
Offer multiple means of engagement and utilize curriculum frameworks addressing state/national educational standards.
Demonstrate an understanding of arts-based subject matter and ability to communicate appropriate levels (basic, intermediary, and advanced) of concepts to students.
Reflect an understanding of strategies for childhood/adolescent cognitive, social, and behavioral development that help youth with disabilities succeed as learners.
Contract Amount, Term and Payment Structure The Kennedy Center is seeking proposals from contractors to perform VSA Arts Connect All–Workshop/Residency programs. The Center will accept only one VSA Arts Connect All–Workshop/Residency program proposal per contractor.
Contract Term:The term of the contract will be for no more than 11 months, from October 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014, and execution of the services must take place within this time frame.
Contract Amount:
$2,000--$10,000 per contract for programs with 5 or less instructional hours per student.
$5,000–$25,000 per contract for programs with 6 or more instructional hours per student.
The Kennedy Center reserves the right to award less or more than the proposed amount based on the scope of proposal submitted. The contract must be based on a firm, fixed-price quote that contains all information necessary to allow the Kennedy Center to comprehensively evaluate the proposed costs.
