Keywords: magazine, genre, newspaper, thematic, literary, artistic, journalism. A magazine, like a newspaper, is a form of media and is shaped by the interests of social
strata, social groups, political parties and other organizations, influencing the opinion of the general
public. Magazines are considered the most important source of information in both history and
modern society, and are considered one of the tools of propaganda. Modern society also has a
certain strong informational character, and it is impossible not to fully meet its vital needs. It should
be noted that humanitarian magazines play a decisive role in the development of mass culture and
have a significant impact on the mind of the general public. In particular, the social, political,
cultural and even economic development of the Russian state and in the new stages of development
, as well as in the early twentieth century, the media system has undergone significant changes.
Changes in a strong economic, social, political, spiritual and educational direction in society were
identified and evaluated primarily through the media, mainly magazines. [1, 98].
Literature, which was one of the first in the field of artistic creation, began to reflect events,
incidents, and various situations. Journalism, whose main purpose and function is information
service, increasingly incorporates the means and methods characteristic of artistic creativity. This
process has the features of a publicist text, a fiction-publicist style. Literary and artistic text, that is,
information about this sphere, reaches the reader through traditional literary and artistic magazines,
which are mass media.
From the day of the collapse of the old system of the central press to the present day, local
and regional publications have taken shape in the Russian state. It should also be noted that in
modern Russian journalism the number of socio-political publications has increased, while the
number of artistic, literary and scientific journals has slightly decreased. However, in other regions
the situation is somewhat different. Due to the fact that the number of regional magazines was much
lower than the central ones under the former Soviet regime, the changes that occurred affected the
regional press to a certain extent; on the contrary, it stimulated the transformation of old magazines
and the emergence of new ones. An important reason for the proliferation of the local press is the
absence of such fierce competition in the daily press of remote areas, most of which was subsidized
by the authorities, and thus by the state.
In general, magazines have a long and interesting history and are a type of daily press that
disseminates information and data. Let us elaborate on its significance, role and meaning of the
