When working with teenagers, it is necessary to take into account their age and personal
characteristics, the main psychological renewal of this age.
The concept of personality comes from the words "face", "fake face". In ancient Russian, the
word "fake face" meant "role", which means a social mask that a person wears when interacting
with others.
In foreign psychology, temperament, sensibility, motives, abilities, inclinations, which make
up a set of stable characters as a human personality, and spirituality, which determines the flow of
thoughts and behavior characteristic of this person when adapting to different life situations, is
understood.
A new emotion emerging in adolescent psychology is self-awareness. Self-awareness is the
main goal of adolescence. At this time, a person discovers his new "I", tries to learn his strengths
and weaknesses. He begins to compare
himself with other people, becomes interested in himself,
looks for a suitable friend.
Adolescence is characterized by its psychological manifestations, which are called
"Transition period", "Crisis period", "Difficult period". Due to the inadequacy of the behavior of
adolescents of this age, there are also cases of a mental explosion due to the inability to find one's
place in the new conditions.
In his time, L. S. Vygotsky called such a situation a crisis in mental
development. The peculiarities of their behavior in adolescence cannot be explained mainly by the
onset of puberty. Puberty affects adolescent behavior as a major biological factor, and this effect is
more indirect than direct.
Adolescence is often characterized by stubbornness, lack of recognition of one's own
shortcomings, and belligerence. Another feature of this era is that work and education have acquired
the same importance. Active participation in public life, a change
in the nature of education, a
scientific outlook among boys and girls leads to the formation of a stable faith, the emergence of a
high human feeling, a creative approach to obtaining knowledge. The desire to find one's place in
life leads to learning a profession, choosing a specialty, building a career plan, and taking the future
seriously. However, this period is sharply different from other youth periods with an attempt to
show strength, courage, heroism, romantic attitude to public, society and natural phenomena.[1.65-

Accentuation of character is a concept introduced by K. Leonhard, and character is an
example of a vivid expression of certain qualities. Knowledge of character accentuations is
necessary for an individual approach to adolescents, career guidance, etc. Self-esteem - as a result
of comparison and reflection of a person with others, is complex and changeable, occupies a large
place in the structure of personality. Adolescents' self-understanding changes in terms of quality.
Thinking
about oneself, comparing oneself with others is characteristic of a teenager. A teenager
gets hung up on his shortcomings, feels unsatisfied. Most adolescents try to be like their peers who
look like adults [2.14-15 p].
