experimentation, the subject creates the mental process under study, but carries it out in a natural
environment for the subject and without realizing it.
Based on psychological methods, the psychologist studied the socio-psychological
characteristics of the student's personality using questionnaires, tests and various methods for the
process of self-realization and professional plans of students in the study of personal and
professional interests, abilities and needs.
Indicators can be:
1) Various signs of student activity in the field of specialization;
2) the result of individual actions, the ability to distinguish ways to solve a problem;
3) the nature of the questions asked in relation to the profession (relation to the content);
4) attitude to the formal aspects of educational activities;
5) attitude to the legitimacy of causal relationships;

Based on our observations, any form of behavior can be explained by internal and external
causes. In the first case, the starting and ending points of the explanation are the psychological
characteristics of the behavioral subject, and in the second, the external conditions and conditions of
his activity. In the first case, they talk about
motives, needs, goals, inclinations, desires, interests ,
and so on. In the second - about the
incentives arising from the current situation. Speaking about the
internal causes of a particular behavior, it is important to understand that the formation of
motivation and value orientations is an integral part of the ontogenesis of human personality
development. In transitional, crisis periods of development, new motives, new values, new needs
and interests arise, and on their basis the personal characteristics of the previous period are restored.
Thus, the motives characteristic of this period act as a system that forms a personality, and the
development of self-consciousness is associated with an understanding of the place of one's "I" in
the system of social relations.
Self-awareness is the perception of the difference of the subject from others and the world as
a whole. This is the period of a person's understanding of the social status and important life needs,
thoughts, feelings, motives, instincts, experiences, actions, active self-awareness during the student
period, and during this period students become motivated to choose a profession, because it is
during this period that a person acquires important professional qualities along with professional
knowledge and skills. A number of studies have been devoted to the problem of the formation of
professional qualities during the student period.
When studying the professional orientation of students - future psychologists, first of all, we
used a test called "How do you feel about yourself?" R.Toshimov, aimed at the student's attitude to
self-consciousness and the process of self-realization.
In total, 100 first- and second-year students majoring in applied psychology of Karakalpak
State University took part in this method. According to the results of the methodology for students-
psychology
45% - High self-esteem,
35% - Self-esteem is normal,
20% - low self-esteem.
The process of self-awareness and self-image are of great importance in the professional life
of future psychologists, and self-awareness ensures the inner harmony of the personality, its
