Imidazole and its derivatives are important heterocyclic compounds that 
are core scaffolds of myriad valuable molecules including natural products, 
ionic liquids, drugs, etc. Another group of compounds containing the basic 
imidazole nucleus is imidazolones, also known as oxoimidazolines. [1, 2] 
İmidazole derivatives found their application in medicinal chemistry 
because of their wide range of biological and pharmaceutical activities. 
Besides biological and pharmaceutical purposes, imidazole group compounds 
also have applications in the industry. They are utilized as corrosion inhibitors 
and antioxidants to the lubricating oil [3, 4] 
In present work, the antimicrobial, anticorrosion, and antioxidant 
properties of 2-amino-5-benzyl-5-(4-bromophenyl)-3,5-dihydro-4
H
-imidazole 
- 4-one have been investigated.

While the synthesized compound increases the corrosion rate of the 
steel-3 plate, it exhibits greater antioxidant activity in diesel fuel. As 
predicted, investigated imidazole derivative also shows high antimicrobial 
activity against microorganisms in different medium.
