Flash mob 
 
A flash mob is a new and cool invention for people that love to dance and 
make people smile. If you don‘t know what these are, you have to have a look 
on YouTube (but come straight back to us!) For those who don‘t know, flash 
mobs are people that arrange via the internet to meet in a popular place all at 
the same time. 
Lifecasting 
 
Lifecasting is uninterrupted streaming of an individual‘s daily life, captured 
via wearable technology. Lifecasting is distinct from frequent webcam 
postings in that the camera moves with the individual and often streams 
directly to the Internet, removing the need for uploading. Lifecasters are seen 
as the polar opposites of privacy enthusiasts in that they willingly post every 
detail of their lives for the public to see. 
Meme 
 
is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads by means of imitation from person 
to person within a culture and often carries symbolic meaning representing a 
particular phenomenon or theme. A meme acts as a unit for 
carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices, that can be transmitted from one 
mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable

phenomena with a mimicked theme. 
Moblog 
 
is a method of publishing to a website or blog from a mobile phone or other 
handheld device. A moblog helps habitual bloggers to post write-ups directly 
from their phones even when on the move. Mobile blogging has been made 
possible by technological convergence, as bloggers have been able to write, 
record and upload different media all from a single, mobile device 
Streaming 
media 
is content that is given to the user live and as it happens 
Trending 
 
When something is trending it means that it is extremely popular in that 
current moment. 
The phrase trending is generally used on Twitter when a popular news story 
or event is being talked about.
