Chinese companies will build several more solar photoelectric plants in Uzbekistan A cooperation agreement was signed with Chinese companies on the construction of the next 2000 MW solar photoelectric power plants. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Energy.
On February 20, as part of a practical visit to China by members of the delegation led by the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, an agreement was signed on cooperation with the consortium of companies Huaneng renewables Corporation and Poly Technologies on the construction of solar photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 2000 MW in Jizzakh and Tashkent regions.
According to this agreement, the consortium of these companies will make direct investment in our country in the amount of 2 billion dollars. The first capacities of these solar photoelectric plants are planned to be launched by the end of 2023, and in 2024 at full capacity. As a result, 5 billion kWh of electricity will be produced per year, and 1.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.
