Your district is quite sleepy and creepy(scaring) at the same time.



  1. Produce(noun)- products

They mostly live on their local produce.



  1. Long stretch of sth- big area of sth

There are long stretches of untouched land on the island.



  1. Surf(noun)- wave

The surf can be spectacular.
We have a spectacular view from the office.

Students with an upper intermediate level of English are well catered

There are a lot of emerging high rise buildings in Tashkent now.

  2. Cosmopolitan (adj)- consists of different people or things

Moscow has become a cosmopolitan city recently.



  1. Theme park- Amusement park


  1. Downside(noun)- disadvantage- drawback

The only downside is that most of you have the tendency to lose
your concentration.
(Phrase)On the downside, these methods are not applicable to everyone.



  1. The air can get polluted at times.

He can be annoying at times.
This laptop can be a bit slow at times.
Georgina tends to be a bit capricious at times.
( to describe negative quality of sth or sb)



  1. Overlook(verb)- having the sight of somewhere

The tower overlooks two smaller ones.
He overlooked a lot of spelling mistakes in his essay.= neglected=ignore



  1. Treacherous(adj)- dangerous ( of roads)

Even the treacherous road is the worth the effort.
