single industrial region, and their solution is not easy and requires enormous
efforts. requires.
In order to eliminate these consequences and join the ranks of developed
countries, Uzbekistan needs to focus on comprehensive modernization and
urbanization of the country in the long term. Relying more on renewable energy
sources, reducing the use of traditional energy sources - coal and gas. By the
middle of our century, the main mines of the republic, which were opened during
the Soviet period, will be almost completely exhausted. The future of cotton
farming is also uncertain. After gaining independence, the government of
Uzbekistan reduced cotton production and increased food production in order to
provide the republic with basic food products. However, in the future, in the
development of cotton and agriculture, Uzbekistan may face unplanned
difficulties as a result of the implementation of hydropower projects in
neighboring countries.
In this regard, Uzbekistan should rely on renewable energy sources. For
example, in Germany, about 8% of electricity is produced by wind farms and 5%
by solar panels. The share of alternative energy sources in the production of
electricity in this country is not very large, but the need for electricity in
Uzbekistan is ten times less than in super-industrial Germany, which increases the
role of renewable energy sources in the case of Uzbekistan. Also, Uzbekistan
should bet on its other unlimited resource - human capital. Today's international
experts say that it is necessary to make proper use of human resources by
increasing the country's potential, income, knowledge and skills, making it the
main factor of development.
