The fruits included to the group of berries are strawberry,raapberry,current.Berry fruit plants are grown in plantation and in horticultural farms.
Strawberry.There are 48 varieties of strawberry. Strawberry is a red berry that contains a lot of fiber and little sugar.Research has shown the beneficial effects of strawberries on eye health, neurological health, and skin health. Strawberries improve memory and vision. This berry is also rich in antioxidants. Strawberries contain 2 vitamins that act as antioxidants in the body - vitamin A and vitamin C. Strawberries also rich in folic asid, which is very important for our organism and especially for pregnant women.
Currant.The most grown and spread varieties of currant are black currant,red currant and golden currant.Black currant is mostly spread in the Europe plants of Russian, in Siberia,in the Ural. Red currant is spread in the forest of Russian,in the Southern Scandinavian countries and in China.In Azerbaijan it’s grown in mountainous areas.

  Raspberry.There are more then 400-500 varieties of raspberry.In Azerbaijan the most spread sort is an usual raspberry. This sort is also grown in Russia,the Ukraine,in Siberia,and Middle Asia.

  Tropical fruit plants. The most important and abundant varieties are date,banana,pineapple and mango.There are more than 1500 types of tropical fruit plants.

  Banana.There are more than 40 varieties of this fruit.Ther most spread are Sivri and Balbizi varieties.It is grown in,more than 100 countries of the world and it’s total area is 1,5 million hectares.In these countries it’s annual yield is 40 -45 million tons.

  Pineapple.There are 1000 known varieties of this fruit.It is grown in more than 70 countries of the world,mostly in Asia,America and Africa.Its annual yield is about 9,5 -10 million tons. The most known varieties are Hilo,Natal queen,Singapore Spanish.
