Procedure of the lesson:
I. Organizing moment: Motivation, Greeting, checking attendance, season, weather, checking the preparation for the lesson.
II. Asking homework:
- Check for homework given on past lesson.
Ask pupils all new words learnt on previous lesson.
III. Pre-activity
Activity 1a Find the words in the Wordlist.
Objectives: to establish the meaning of the new words; to practise working with the Wordlist
PP find the words in the Wordlist. Do not forget to set a time limit.

IV. Main Part
Activity 1b Listen, read and repeat.
Objective: to teach PP how to say the new words correctly
This is an ordinary ‘Look and repeat’ activity. For the procedure see one of the previous lessons.
Activity 1c Point and say.
Objective: to reinforce the new vocabulary
In pairs PP take turns to point to a word from 1 a for their partner to say it.
Activity 1d Copy and tick the snacks.
Objective: to focus on the difference between snack and meal
PP look at the pictures and tick the things that refer to the snacks.

Activity 2a Work in pairs. Write other words you know.
Objective: to think of adjectives used to describe places people go to when they eat out
In pairs PP read the given adjectives and add to the list. When they finish, write their words on the board. The suggestions may be: ‘small, popular, famous, comfortable, national, outside, inside'. The pupils do not know the last word, but as they know outside', they can easily guess the meaning of ‘inside’.
Culture Notes
In the west a cafe (choyhona) often has tables outside. Restaurants do not. Both women and men go to cafes alone and together.
