On May 20-21, 2022 at the Youth Center of Samarkand on the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State Medical University. The 76^th scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists “Achievements in fundamental, applied medicine and pharmacy” and 2nd International Scientific-Practical Olympiad on "Aesthetic Restoration Skills in Dentistry" will be held. It will be attended by young scientists and students of prestigious universities in the country and from abroad.
Extensive work is being carried out in our country to develop the system of higher education, introduce modern forms and technologies of teaching, improve the areas of specialization in the training of specialists, based on the real requirements of socio-economic life. It should be noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan has recognized important issues related to the complete renewal of the content of training, the creation of the necessary conditions for the training of highly qualified specialists at the level of international standards. The President has pointed out the most important tasks for the development of the higher education system. Establishment of promising cooperation between each higher educational institutions with leading research and educational institutions abroad, the widespread introduction of the latest pedagogical technologies, educational programs and teaching materials based on international educational standards in the educational process, also by inviting highly qualified teachers and scholars from abroad. On 20-21st of May, 2022, at the initiative of Samarkand State Medical University, for further development of cooperation with the world's leading scientific and educational institutions, widespread introduction of advanced pedagogical technologies, curricula and teaching materials in the educational process, as well as educational activities, The 76^th scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists “Achievements in fundamental, applied medicine and pharmacy” and 2nd International Scientific-Practical Olympiad on "Aesthetic Restoration Skills in Dentistry" will be held. Students and young scientists from prestigious universities and research centers of Turkey, Malaysia, India, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are expected to take part in the international conference and olympiad. As part of the conference and olympiad expected to be organized at Samarkand State Medical University, international competitions in all areas of medicine will be held. In addition to undergraduate, graduate students and clinical residents of our university, representatives of several countries near and far abroad will take part in these competitions. The conference will be attended by leading young scientists in the field of continuous education, the identification of problems and the development of specific measures to address them and present the results of methodological research as reports. In open discussions, leading professors and teachers of prestigious foreign universities and research centers will discuss the development of science in our country, ensuring the harmony of science and practice, increasing scientific and technological potential, comprehensive support for talented youth and their involvement in research. The participants will be provided with opinions and suggestions on the mechanisms of encouraging research and innovative activities, the implementation of scientific achievements in practice. Foreign experts acknowledge that the focus on improving the education system in our country plays an important role in strengthening the economic and technical base of the system, improving the quality and efficiency of education and providing comprehensive education to the younger generation.
