2.Give definitions to the following words
Expensive- costing a lot of money.
Ineffective- not producing any significant or desired effect.
Arrogant- having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.
Trustworthy- able to be relied on as honest or truthful.
Suspicious- having or showing a cautious distrust of someone or something.
Complex – consisting of many different and connected parts.
Functional – of or having a special activity, purpose, or task.
Modest- unassuming in the estimation of one’s abilities or achievements.
Ostentatious- characterized by pretentious or showy display; designed to impress.
Successful-accomplishing a desired aim or result.
Wary- feeling or showing caution about possible dangers or problems.
Favorable- expressing approval
Self-motivation-the internal drive that leads us to take action towards a goal.
Incentive- a thing that motivates or encourages someone to do something.
Reward- a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement.
Praise- the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.
Recognition-identification of someone or something or person from previous encounters or knowledge.
Enthusiasm-intense and eager enjoyment, interest, or approval.
Performance-the action or process of performing a task or function.
Appreciate- 1.recognize the full worth of. 2.understand (a situation) fully; grasp the full implications of.
Achievement – a thing done successfully with effort, skill, or courage.
Autonomy- the right or condition of self-government.
Budget-an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time.
Schedule- A plan for carrying out a process or procedure, giving lists of intended events and times.
Forecast-a calculation or estimate of future events, especially coming weather or a financial trend.
Launch-an act or instance of launching something.
Deadline-the latest time or date by which something should be completed.
Accurate- correct in all details; exact.
Constraint- a limitation or restriction.
Breakdown- a failure of a relationship or system.
Progress-development towards an improved or more advanced condition.
Cutting-edge- the most modern stage of development in a particular type of work or activity.
Proposition-an offer or suggestion, usually in busines
Carry out – to do or complete something, especially that you have said you would do or that you have been told to do
Come up with – to suggest or think of an idea or plan
Pay off- if something you have done pays off, it is successful
Take up-to start doing a particular job or activity
Bring down-to cause someone in a position of power to lose their job
Bring about-to cause something to happen
Take forward-to deal with something and make it successful in the future

Responsibility- something that it is your job or duty to deal with
Fairness-the quality of treating people equally or in a way that is right or reasonable
Generosity-the quality or condition of being generous
Values-the principles that help you to decide what is right and wrong, and how to act in various situations.
Corruption-illegal, bad, or dishonest behaviour, especially by people in positions of power.
Prejudice-an unfair and unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially when formed without enough thought or knowledge
Credibility-the fact that someone can be believed or trusted.
Greed-a very strong wish to continuously get more of something, especially food or money.
Discrimination-treating a person or particular group of people differently, especially in a worse way from the way in which you treat other people, because of their race, gender, sexuality, etc.
Introvert-someone who is shy, quiet, and prefers to spend time alone rather than often being with other people.
Extrovert-an energetic person who enjoys being with other people
Outgoing-(of a person) friendly and energetic and finding it easy and enjoyable to be with others.
Detached- separated
Instinctive-Instinctive behaviour or reactions are not thought about, planned, or developed by training.
Tactful-careful not to say or do anything that could upset someone.
Impulsive-showing behaviour in which you do things suddenly without any planning and without considering the effects they may have.
Pragmatic-solving problems in a sensible way that suits the conditions that really exist now, rather than obeying fixed theories, ideas, or rules
Flexible-able to change or be changed easily according to the situation
Indecisive-not good at making decisions.
Conventional-traditional and ordinary.
Determined-wanting to do something very much and not allowing anyone or any difficulties to stop you
Thoughtful-carefully considering things.
Offshore-away from or at a distance from the coast
Skilled workers- workers who have an ability to do an activity or job well, especially because you have practised it.
Business process outsourcing-subset of outsourcing that involves the contracting of the operations and responsibilities of a specific business process to a third-party service provider.
Export growth-The annual compound percentage change in the value of exports between two periods
Core activity- those that are essential to the organization and operation of the business.
Outside expertise- someone with appropriate knowledge who undertakes a quality or standards review (of any kind) as part of a team or alone and who is external to the programme or institution being reviewed.
Outsourcing vendors- an entity that provides one or more outsourcing services.
Close to home- it makes people feel uncomfortable or upset because it is about a sensitive or very personal subject.
Cost-savings- the benefit realized from actions that reduce an organization’s overall spending on assets that directly impact its bottom line.
Training facilities- a health facility which is a member of or has a formal reporting relationship with AHS and any other approved clinical learning environment, where a Resident Physician is present for residency training.
Infrastucture-the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
Sector-an area or portion that is distinct from others.
Employee-a person employed for wages or salary, especially at non-executive level.
Apprentice-a person who is learning a trade from a skilled employer, having agreed to work for a fixed period at low wages.
Retirement-the action or fact of leaving one’s job and ceasing to work.
Employer-a person or organization that employs people.
Self-employed-working for oneself as a freelance or the owner of a business rather than for an employer.
