FORESTRY AND ARBORICULTURE
Application
40.1
This Part applies to every workplace where forestry or arboriculture
operations take place.
Safe work procedures
40.2
An employer must
(a) develop and implement safe work procedures respecting the
forestry or arboriculture operations
that occur in the workplace;
(b) train workers in the safe work procedures; and
(c) ensure that workers comply with the safe work procedures.
Restricted access
40.3
An employer must ensure that only persons involved in the forestry
or arboriculture operation have access
to the area where those
operations take place.
No work on hillside
40.4
When forestry or arboriculture operations take place on a hillside,
an employer must ensure that no logs or
trees are allowed to roll
downhill if the logs or trees would create a risk to any person below
the site of the operations.
