A masterpiece of translations

One winter day
When I woke up in the morning, the ground was
covered with white snow. Every time it snowed, my heart sank; I couldn't fill it
with joy. Today I felt an unknown feeling inside me, like a mixture of both joy and
some kind of sadness. The roads are slippery; you're afraid to tread. My friend and
I are going to study. The fir trees are so beautiful that the bride wearing the most
elegant dress seems to be rushing somewhere.
A big road. Cars pass by incessantly. A woman in her forties is walking in
front of us. The woman's headscarf is fluttering. She has a big bag in both hands.
She steps slowly to avoid falling. Her hands were red from the cold and became
like a piece of meat. I really wanted to do good for this woman. When the traffic
light turned green, we picked up the bags that the woman had left on the ground.
Her house is close to our institute. We delivered her luggage to her home without
leaving it. Her eyes said that the woman was very happy with us. She blessed us
with reddened hands: 
“May your face be bright, your luck be bright, and your sustenance be great.
May Allah be pleased with you. May your happiness open like the moon.” At that
moment, the dust in my heart seemed to be washed away. Since early morning, the
sorrow in my heart has seemed to be filled with this prayer.
