To be – bo`lmoq yordamchi fe`li Ingliz tilida inson, jonzot yoki narsalarning holatini
ifodalaganda, ularning shakl-shamoili, rang-tusi, ijtimoiy holati, kasbi kabi narsalarni
bildirishda, ular haqida ma`lumot berishda qo`llanadi:
I am a pupil. – Men o`quvchiman.
He is a boy. – U bola.
We are Uzbek. – Biz O`zbekmiz.
They are red. – Ular qizil.
To be fe`lining Hozirgi zamon, O`tgan zamon va Kelasi zamon shakllari ham mavjud.
To be fe`lining barcha zamon shakllari Bo`lishli (Darak) gapda Kishilik olmoshlari yoki egadan so`ng qo`yiladi:
