Abstract:
The interdisciplinarity of historiography refers to its communication 
with main disciplines such as philosophy, geography, anthropology, sociology, 
economics, linguistics, psychology, and its interaction in knowledge production. 
In this article, we will focus on the formation of sub-scientific disciplines that 
will give validity to the documents in which the history writer uses his narrative. 
While examining the relationship of history with scientific disciplines, it is one of 
the main principles that the sub-disciplines that it led to development should not 
be neglected. One of the most important of these will be archeology. Findings in 
archeology are dated by using the techniques of physics and chemistry, so this is 
the field in which historiography cooperates. Another discipline directly related to 
historiography is paleography. It will provide more descriptive data on historical 
documents by examining the artifacts of past civilizations. In addition, epigraphy 
will also make an important contribution to historiography. Another sub-discipline 
that developed alongside the field of history was numismatics. Branches of science

such as toponomy, which studies place names, anthroponomy, which studies human 
names, calendar science, chronology, geneology, which studies genealogies, will 
make a valuable contribution to historiography. Political history, labor history, 
art history, architectural history, urban history, environmental history, history 
of religion, history of thought, history of economics, etc., which emerged in the 
process of specialization in order to facilitate the acquisition of the historiographer’s 
inputs and increase their reliability. and of course, that it should be intertwined with 
literature will be discussed in detail.
