we are getting new information about the history of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, 
Surkhandarya and Ferghana Valley. However, not all of us can say that we know the 
history of Syrdarya region, which is rapidly gaining its place in modern Uzbekistan. 
To a certain extent, this is caused by misconceptions that Syrdarya was a deserted 
desert in ancient and medieval times, and these lands were appropriated only during 
the rule of the “Shuras”. However, “Syr Darya region, although it is a relatively 
young administrative region within Uzbekistan, this land has thousands of years of 
history and culture.” In this article, we will present a brief analysis of the information 
provided in written sources about our ancient ancestors who lived in the territories 
of Syrdarya region.
