Plasticizers: 
technical vaseline; paraffin; mineral and vegetable oils, etc. 
These occupy 8-30% of the volume, facilitate operation, increase elasticity and 
increase resistance to cold. 
Wear reducers: 
aldol, meozone, paraffin, wax, etc. These reduce wear, resist 
oxygen binding. Oxygen binds to the double bond sites in the rubber. As a result, 
rubber macromolecules break, shrink, and their flexibility and elasticity decrease. It 
becomes brittle and a network of cracks appears on the surface of the rubber. Wear 
reducers are divided into: a) chemical and b) physical agents. Chemical agents 
(aldol, neozone) combine with (diffused) oxygen that has penetrated into rubber and 
rubber powder, stopping its oxidation. Physical agents (paraffin, wax) create a film 
on the surface, making oxygen diffusion difficult. 
Stains 
(ultramarine) do not perform a decorative function, but stop fading due 
to light; because it absorbs the short-wavelength part of light. 
Rubber plays a decisive role. Natural rubber is obtained from the sap ("latex") 
of the rubber tree. 
Latex 
contains 30-37% rubber.
