When it’s traveling abroad many go-to sites can help you jump start your adventure. Many surrounding themes of meaningful travel include but do not limit to supporting active engagement, intentional learning, sustainable decision-making, and reciprocity.

GoAbroad.com has comprehensive, high-quality information to help you navigate in the abroad industry.
Travel teaches you to be flexible, to trust in yourself, in the world, to be more social, makes you fall in love with learning. It challenges you and puts your life in perspective.
GoAbroad.com offers many resources and articles on the website such as studying, working, and teaching abroad. Scholarships and language schools are offered. The TEFL program alone is an outstanding resource anyone thinking about going abroad should check out!

Scholarships that help going abroad easier on your finances (these do not apply to GoAbroad.com).


There are over 45 great scholarships that can help cut your costs by traveling abroad. To name a few that are bachelor-level degrees, there are:
Boren scholarships can result up to $8,000 (summer program, available for STEM students only), $10,000 (semester program), and even $20,000 (academic year program.
Benjamin A. Gilman International offers $3,000 (summer program), $4,000 (fall and spring program), and $5,000 (academic year program).
USAC offers scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need and they can apply at USAC Study Abroad programs. USAC’s scholarship offerings include General Scholarships for Non-Consortium Affiliate Students, Legacy Scholarships, and Program-Specific Scholarships.
CEA Study abroad scholarships offer $500-$750 for short term programs and $1,000-$3,000 for the long term. Deadlines are April 10th (summer), May 10th (fall), and November 15th (spring).
