I. Methodical instructions for teaching the subject

The working program consists of titles and plans of lectures, seminars, topics of essays, questions for independent work and recommended literature for study.


When teaching the subject, the following tasks are supposed to be solved:

  • study of basic macroeconomic categories,

  • causes of emergence and forms of manifestation of macroeconomic problems,

  • the essence of macroeconomic models,

  • goals and instruments of macroeconomic policy,

  • peculiarities of macroeconomic policy in an open economy,

  • training students in methods of calculating macroeconomic indicators, ways of analyzing macroeconomic processes and concepts, skills of using macroeconomic models and forecasting the results of macroeconomic policy.

The student in a macroeconomics course should:
Have an understanding of:
- about economic relations and phenomena in the economy;
- about methods of obtaining macroeconomic theoretical knowledge;
- about methods of analyzing economic life, economic phenomena and processes at the macro level;
know:
- the basics of macroeconomics and market relations at the state level;
- regularities of functioning and development of the national economy;
- the state of the economy at the macro level;
- the essence of financial and credit, social, investment and agrarian policy;
- integration processes;
be able to:
- analyze macroeconomic processes and draw conclusions;
- collect and process information necessary for the study of the main macroeconomic problems of the economy;
- accumulate experience and skills in using macroeconomic models and forecasting the results of macroeconomic policy.
