4. CONCLUTION  

In  this  article  finding  optimal  place  and  capacity  of  TCSC  was  addressed  to  improve 

technical  indexes  of  power  system.  Considered  technical  indexes  of  the  article  were 

determined as voltage static stability and power losses. Also emergency conditions of power 

system  were  imposed  in  order  to  make  simulation  conditions  more  realistic.  Results  of  this 

article  showed  that  TCSC  has  had  an  efficient  performance  in  improving  considered  target 

functions.  The  best  place  for  installing  this  device  in  normal  and  emergency  conditions  of 

network was obtained as line 12 between busses 6 and 10 and by installing this device in this 

line target functions improved as values of tables (2) and (3).
