Q180. What place has given you fond memories?
A. Sample Answer
In my life, I have had many great memories. One of my fondest memories comes from my time in
Germany. While I was there I was able to make great lasting memories and learn a few new things
that would be of good use well into my adult years.
To start with, I attended a German Preschool
while I was there. Because of this, I was able to learn the German language as my first true spoken
tongue.
Up until I left for German, my parents had never heard me speak, so they always joke that
German was my first language. Even more importantly, I learned about a new culture at a young age.
Because of
my exposure to other cultures, I have become a more tolerant person of others’ own
cultures. One of the most fun experiences while in Germany was what I call the Storyland
Amusement Park; since then, I have forgotten its actual name. At this park there were different types
of playground-like equipment that reenacted different parts of the famous nursery rhymes. The Little
Old Lady Who Lived
in a Shoe was my favorite, because you had to climb up this extremely high
slide
to the top of the shoe, and then you’d slide down through the shoe and out its foot! Germany
gave me so many great memories!
