RESEARCH PROJECTS, CASE STUDIES, DISSERTATIONS

Case study research remains a controversial data collection approach. However, it is recognized widely in different social studies. That’s because it enables researchers to provide in-depth explanations of different social behaviors.

What is a Case Study?

A case study is a research methodology in which the researcher aims at the intensive study of a group or unit to draw a general conclusion. It is also known as “research strategy,” a specific inquiry into a phenomenon in a real-life context. This research method was first introduced in 1829 by a French sociologist, Frederic Le Play. The popularity of the case study format has increased in recent decades. As the word says, the research focuses on a real-life case, describes its problems, and analyzes how the problem is being solved in a sequential process.

What Is a Case Study Method?

A case study method is a descriptive analysis of people, groups, events, or policies that is studied by using one or more processes. In this method, the researcher takes an incident from a real-life context and goes on an in-depth investigation to find out the possible solution to the problem highlighted in the case study example. The researcher focuses on a single case to make detailed observations over a longer period. It is a technique that aids students in honing their abilities and fortifying them to handle issues in real life. The case study approach can be studied by three major methods; they are collective, intrinsic, and instrumental. We will discuss each of them while we are moving forward with this blog post.

(I) Learning from real-life scenarios

Case studies present examples from real-life scenarios. Hence, it gives the readers a realistic and complex feeling. This real-life situation helps the readers connect with the situation and inspires them to find a solution to their own life situations. As the case is discussed in the classroom, it gives the student an opportunity to evoke their problem-solving technique to find different solutions for that particular problem.

(II) It provides detailed knowledge

Case studies are designed to conduct in-depth study to compile data regarding a particular group, entity, or person. Students or readers can therefore learn in-depth information about a particular issue or topic through case studies.

(III) It demonstrates success

In these studies, the researcher gives explicit details about everything. He/she goes forward to highlight the problem in a specific case and then describes each step to solve it. Consequently, it offers a chance to show that you can succeed under pressure.

(IV) It is comprehensive

Case study research, in contrast to other research methods, allows the researcher the chance to employ a variety of tools and strategies to find a solution to the issue covered in the case. As a result, the researcher is given the time and space to consider the subject from all angles.

(V) It develops new skills

The ability to comprehend difficult issues is essential whether you are writing a case study on a real-world scenario or on any other subject. Over time, it aids in the development of thinking, research, and problem-solving skills. Therefore, at the conclusion of the study, you get a variety of new talents.

(VI) Increases knowledge

Writing case study assignments for college helps students expand their knowledge of various topics. But it is also a fact that writing case studies can be difficult for average students as it requires a lot of research and writing skills. In this case, you can pay someone to do your homework and score the best grades without any stress and tension.
