Summary:
The article analyzes the issue of a systematical connection between art and
design. Traditionally, design is seen as the successor of art in addressing problems of style- and
form-generation.
Keywords:
Fine art, design, form, methods of system design
Fine art and
design are closely intertwined, exerting mutual influence on each other. For
centuries, artists and designers have found inspiration in the art of past eras, and also used it in their
creative processes. In the modern world, this interchange is moving forward, bringing unique and
innovative ideas to the field of design. In this article we will consider the influence of fine art on
modern design and examples of its manifestation.
Transfer of emotions and concepts:
In art, the creation of a work has always been surrounded by mystery.
Early art has a
pronounced rigid algorithm for organizing the process with the help of rules and canons. However,
with all attempts to guarantee the result, artistic creativity retained its special "indomitable" temper.
It either degenerated into a craft, or "broke through" the strictest restrictions. The canons of art were
refracted in completely different ways in the personality of the artist, and the search for his own
creative method remained an eternal problem. But fine art also has the power to convey emotions
and concepts, and this power finds its application in modern design. Designers use elements of art
such as color, shape, composition and texture to evoke certain feelings in their audience. They can
draw inspiration from Cubism, Impressionism or Surrealism and embody
these elements in their
design works.
Innovative forms and structures:
Visual art and design are closely linked, and the mutual influence of these two areas is
manifested on many levels. Fine art is a source of inspiration for designers, and design, in turn, uses
various elements of fine art to create new forms and styles. In this article we will look at the
influence of fine art on modern design.
Fine art is a broad term that
includes various types of art, such as painting, sculpture,
graphics, photography and many others. Each of these types of art has its own unique style,
technique and theme that can be used in design.
One of the main ways that visual art influences design is through the use of color. The color
scheme used in fine art can be used in design to create a certain atmosphere, mood or emotions. For
example, the warm, bright colors used in paintings can be used in interior design to
create a cozy
and pleasant atmosphere. Also, many elements of fine art, such as lines, shapes and textures, can be
used in design. Lines can be used to create movement or direction in design, shapes can be used to
create a recognizable style or brand, and textures can be used to create an interesting and
multidimensional visual experience.
