Frame objects made of corrugated cardboard are systems of stiffeners. To connect the
individual elements in each of them, grooves are made in half the height of the joint. To increase the
strength, a five-layer corrugated cardboard is used (two layers of corrugation and three layers of
cardboard) or several sheets glued together, alternating the direction of the corrugated layers.

Fig. 4. Cardboard chair
This cardboard furniture uses a combination of straight and curved elements. This
constructive principle is based on fixing a curved sheet of corrugated cardboard with the help of flat
elements.
Thus, objects with rounded corners are obtained.

Fig. 6. Designer computer table made of cardboard
A designer computer desk – a design with proper assembly and care can become a home
decoration. To give the table strength, cardboard plates are glued together from several layers of
material, sometimes reinforcing elements are added. Furniture is equipped with various consoles
and shelves, also made of multilayer raw materials.

Fig.8. Shelves and cabinets made of cardboard
Shelving – there are never too many of them, especially if they are made of cardboard. They
can be of various shapes: square, semicircular, curved, floor and suspended – it all depends on your
preferences and imagination. They can be collapsible, they are easy to remove.
Fig. 9. A chair made of cardboard. Layer-by-layer gluing of cardboard sheets.
Technically, layer—by-layer gluing is one of the easiest ways to make furniture out of
cardboard. It is enough to come up with a silhouette of the future object, cut out the right number of
contours and glue them together. To increase the strength of the product, the corrugated layers in
adjacent sheets should be located in different directions.
Conclusion.
Cardboard furniture can be made by various methods. The malleable material is
suitable for creating structures of any complexity. There are many ideas for the manufacture of
frame, modular models, in the technique of layer-by-layer bonding. The design of such furniture no
longer seems strange to anyone. Such interior items are suitable for creative, extraordinary people
whose preferences are constantly changing.
