If all the above-mentioned stories depict the problems of young women who get married and 
endure various vicissitudes of fate, then in such stories as “Náreste” (“Child”) and “Sol Tanya 
qayda eken?” (“Where is this Tanya?”) depicts the pitiful fate of a small child and a young girl. 
In the story “Náreste” (“Child”), a girl of Russian nationality, who thoughtlessly accepted 
marriage, abandons her child, leaves him to the father of the newborn. The hardships of a young 
father have a strong impact on the reader. The support of the young father by the lyrical hero is very 
touching, the successful operation on the baby’s eyes and the achievement by the young father of 
new happiness touches the reader to the depths of his soul. 
In contrast to this story, where the father’s concern for his child is very touchingly depicted, 
in the story “Tanya qayda eken?” (“Where is this Tanya?”) depicts the sad fate of the young 
Russian girl Tanya, who ended up in the hands of her stepfather due to her inability to see. And here 
we feel the care and tenderness of the lyrical hero for a young girl, we understand that such qualities 
as mercy and humanity have not disappeared in the world. And that they will always occupy an 
important place in human society. 
In such stories as “Qara pıshıqtıń” (“Tricks of a black cat”), “Áńgimeden áńgime tuwılıp” 
(“Word for word”), “Dúnya-malıń kim ushın?” (“For whom are your savings?”), “Turmıstaǵı 
mayda-shúydeler” (“Little things in life”), “Qatın qartayǵansha is úyrenedi” (“A woman studies 
business until old age”), “Hújdan” (“Conscience”), “Eksperiment”, “Táshwishi kóp dúnya” (lit., 
“Life full of problems”), “Jezdeniń qupıyası” (“Secrets of the son-in-law”), “Al usınnan ne boldı?” 
(“And what of this?”), “Árman” (“Dream”), “Úndemeytuǵın kúwey, awırmaytúǵın ene” (literally: a 
husband who is silent, a mother-in-law who does not get sick), “Laqaplı kempirler” (“Old women 
with nicknames”), “Aymereke” (female name), “Shútik shıranıń sharapatı” (“Merit of a kerosene 
lamp”), etc., the priority of the narration of life events over the description of the fate of the 
characters is noted. It should be noted that the distinguishing feature of these works is that the writer 
describes the events that she herself witnessed or reveals the appearance of the era in which she 
herself lived. 
We can agree with the opinion of Z. Ktaybekova, who states that “the main place in the 
stories of G. Yesemuratova is occupied by historical, political and social topics. Her works have an 
epic orientation, and this is what catches the eye when we get acquainted with her stories: a skillful 
narration of a man who has seen a lot in his life” [2.54]. At the same time, we do not want to say 
that the character of the hero in these stories remains undiscovered. 
For example, in the story “Qara pıshıqtıń ılaysańı” (“Tricks of a black cat”), it tells about a 
young girl, a former assistant to the prosecutor, who became pregnant from the prosecutor. 
Unwanted pregnancy, it must be disposed of. A girl tosses a dead child into a hayloft in a barn. The 
owner of the barn, Yesen, sees that his cat is dragging some kind of lump, and is horrified when he 
realizes what it is. Yesen’s reaction to this event is, on the one hand, comical, on the other hand, 
tragic: Yesen is indignant, «why exactly did his cat manage to get into such a mess, because there 
are so many neighbors and stray cats around ?!». Through the introduction of an artistic detail - a 
black cat - into the story, the author managed to reveal the characters of people of an entire era. 
In particular, the image of the prosecutor as a character is not present at all in the canvas of 
events, but through his attitude towards the poor girl and the attitude of the author towards his 
character, we can fully visualize him as a person. In the process of developing the storyline, the 
dramatic events of the work, thanks to the “tricks” of the black cat, gradually and gradually 
increase. 
To create such a complex compositional system, the master of the artistic word needs to 
work hard and focus his attention on ensuring that every episode, every detail, every portrait 
characteristic and other artistic means are closely connected with the fate, mental state, actions of 
the depicted character in order to maintain consistency and plot continuity.
