The new manager will reduce unnecessary costs in the U.S. division of Ghost Mishel , and the company will hire Renault as its director to cut its annual and recurring costs by $ 4 billion.
2. What kind of resistance did he meet? Why?
The first resistance to him was that he was not Japanese, that is, a foreigner. He knew very well that he would have to close 5 factories and make a number of similar decisions in order to raise the company, so he wanted to keep it a secret and waited for the right situation. He tells the Japanese that he will close seven factories if he does not support his decision, which is perceived negatively by the Japanese as a violation of Japanese norms and they protest against his decisions.
3. How changes were implemented and why?
He uses engineers and managers to make the company his own. Instructs designers, engineers, functional specialists to develop new car designs, which will increase innovation resources, and they will cooperate with Renault.
