Model for the New Transfer Terminal in the Caspian Sea Compatible with the TRACECA Project
Today’s economic priority gives to taking the product into the market in time safely as well as production. In this concept the maritime transportation is preferred for long distance due to its confidence and lowest cost. But maritime transportation is unsufficient on the goods deliver from door too door. Thus it on the transportation busines it was arised conception known as combined transportation, used railway, sea and also road transport.
On the one hand growth global trade and on the other hand developing transportation field have brought out the formation of the several transportation corridors over the world. Mentioned process drags the countires are closely involved with the intercontinental transport corridors to the center of competition. Consequently the countries with the strategic and ecenomic benefits have been planning and realizing in order to have this traffic. In this manner, they have been signing financial, commerical and technical agreements between the region countries. One of these agreements is the most important project known as TRACECA (Europe-Caucasus-Asia) Transportation Corridor.
One of the indispensable points of this corridor extending from England to the Shangai is the Caspian Region. After falling down of the USSR system the Caspian Region that attracted the world countries attention to its energy and strategic policies, also became focal point of the foreign investors. Especially, the investments are focused to get the new transit center on the Caspian Sea compatible with the TRACECA is discussed on this study.
The transit terminal on the Caspian Sea that allows the transportation of the goods of BTK Railway lines through Middle Asia to China is approached in this study.
