Evaluation of critical success factors of six sigma methodology used in Turkey’s manufacturing sector
Today it is a reality that most firms throughout the world are applying Six Sigma projects in order to reach their targets. The researches about the Six Sigma project represent the fact that there are many factors that affect the success of the project. Furthermore, various studies have been carried out about the effects of Six Sigma critical success factors on the projects. In this respect, researches have been done regarding the determination of the level of the importance of these factors in different countries.
In this paper, evaluation of critical success factors of Six Sigma methodology used in Turkey’s manufacturing sector has been aimed. In this respect, the importance level of success factors have been examined from Turkish firms point of view by the interview of the managers of Six Sigma projects. In addition, in which level these factors are carried out in Turkey’s manufacturing sector has been analyzed. Beside the analysis of critical success factors, the researches done has been examined, and the relationship between the acquisition of the projects and critical success factors have been investigated.
In this paper, importance level of Six Sigma success factors, in which level they are carried out, the acquisition assumptions of the projects, and to what degree those assumptions became true have been analyzed by using different statistical methods. Besides, the effects of Six Sigma critical success factors on the success of the projects have been indicated with statistical studies from the point of view of Turkish firms.
