It is known that every higher education is based 
on the acquisition of scientific knowledge and 
aims to provide students with information about 
scientific and working methods, along with 
specialty knowledge. 
Although universities differ in their profiles, their 
overall science-based goals remain the same. 
During their study, students must repeatedly 
demonstrate their ability to research scientific 
and practical tasks related to the specialty and to 
acquire new knowledge with the help of scientific 
methods. 
Students and future researchers are engaged in 
the preparation, execution and documentation of 
scientific papers during their activity. 
The main purpose in the preparation of 
dissertations and other final scientific works is to 
reveal the ability of students and researchers to 
solve assigned problems with the use of scientific 
methods within a given time. 
Every person who has mastered this technique 
uses a different method of approaching any 
problems that arise during the practical activity. 
Unlike others, he prefers to solve assigned 
problems with the use of analytical approach and 
scientific methods.
Given such nuances, Baku Higher Oil School 
supports each of students’ initiatives to encourage 
them in their research endeavors and organizes 
various events that can serve as an efficient 
platform for them to demonstrate their creativity, 
knowledge and skills in this area.
