tensile strength, thickness, modulus of elasticity, elongation-at-break, moisture
content, transparency of films, and water vapor permeability.
To display all the procedure conducted during the experiments, initially,
deionized water was added to starch to prepare 4% (w/w) aqueous solution.
Followingly, cellulose and plasticizers consumed in the experimentation were
added with the same molar ratio, and they are then heated up till the required
temperature accompanied by the blending about 10 minutes on purpose to
gelenization
process to occur. After cooling the dispersion down, it then
experienced drying process at room circumstance (25°C) for nearly 48 hours.
Finally, after all these aforementioned processes were implemented, necessary
features (elongation-at-break, thickness, modulus of elasticity, tensile
strength, water vapor permeability, moisture content and transparency of
films) were analyzed and noted down. All the differences before and after the
experimentation were compared, and outcomes were outlined that via the
application of this method, the certain properties of the biobased films can
be developed successfully.
