The Subject of the qualification paper is to reveal the functions and peculiar features of publicistic style and its subdivisions.
The Object of the investigation is all the subdivisions of publicistic style and analysis of examples refer them.
The main aim : of the research work is to reveal Functional Styles and usage Publicistic style in modern English.
The aim presupposes the solution of the following tasks:

The main material of the work served several theoretical books on stylistics and fresh information from Internet .The exercises have been gathered from different English and American writers’ work of art.
The methods of the work . There we have used componential and analytical methods to carry out the investigation.
The theoretical value of the work is that theory and exercises can serve as the main material in lectures and seminars on English stylistics and text interpretation .
Practical value of the qualification paper. The results that got during the investigative the qualification paper may be used in delivering lectures on stylistics, text interpretation.

Structurally the qualification paper consists of Introduction, two chapters , conclusion and the list of the used literature.
Introduction deals with the main purpose, actuality, theoretical and practical importance of the work.
The main part includes two chapters.Chapter I is about General ideas on Stylistics as a linguistic science and functional styles.¹
