Level: 2nd class
Duration of the lesson: 45 minutes

Aims

  • Practical

Students learn vocabulary for people and pets.

to give information about the topic, improve students’ knowledge levels.

to develop personal skills such as communicative, interactive, social, working in groups, critical thinking and independent learning skills, language intuition.

To develop students behavioral patterns

  • To inform about pets

  • To become familiar with new words;

  • To improve speaking, writing, reading skills and vocabulary;

After this lesson, students will be able to:

Assessment

Formative assessment: T will assess how students are learning about the topic, at what point they are struggling or progressing, at what stage of learning they will have difficulties or failures or
success.




Summative assessment: T will assess what students have learnt
about the topic, T will evaluate students’ current understanding in relation to the teaching goals.

Procedure of the lesson (40 minutes)

Beginning (10 min)

  1. Greeting and checking the attendance: (2 min)

T greets students, checks the attendance.

  1. Warm-up (5 min)

T asks students to answer the questions

  1. Do You like animals? Why?

  2. What animals are there in your house?

  3. Describe your favorite pets?

Main part- PPP stages (30min)

  1. Presentation Stage.

Activity 1.Hold up each flashcard and say the new word.students repeat in chorus and individually.Then show the flashcards in random order.Students say the word.

  1. Practice Stage.

Activity 2 Students listen and point the numbered items in the picture as they hear mentioned.Then play again.Students listen and say the words:
Activity 3 You need to correct the words. Use a dictionary where necessary.
Activity 4 In pair,write sentence on this topic

Closing
(5 min)

Assessment: (3 min) T marks students based on the assessment
criteria such as language proficiency level, participation,







knowledge, skills of learners through distributing assessment tasks.
Summarizing and giving home assignment: (2 min) T summarizes the main points of the lesson and gives a home assignment: write a text about your favorite pet and paint the
given animals.
