1.Where is your hometown?
My hometown is Sumgait. Sumgait city was built in 1949. It is the second largest city after Baku in terms of population and industrial importance. There are various legends about the name of the city. One of them is this: it is taken from the name of the caravanserai that was on the coast of Sumgaitchay. Haji Zeynalabdin, Jeyranbatan, Old Corat, New Corat, Novkhani, Chemists, Builders, Kotej, Yashma and Saray settlements, Green Valley, Sumgait Station, Gurd Valley, Sarigaya, Khazar gardens residential areas, 21 microdistricts and more than 67 city administrative districts included in the area.
2.Do you like your hometown? Why?
Yes, I was born here and grew up here. That's why this city is very close to me. I have walked everywhere in this city and I love every place.
3.How long have you been living in your hometown?
Since 2005, I have been living in Sumgait, my hometown. I have been living in this city for 17 years.
4.Do you believe it is a proper place to grow up? Why?
Yes, I believe. All regions of Azerbaijan are beautiful. However, the city of Sumgait is one of the most beautiful cities of the Republic of Azerbaijan. I love the air, water, people and places of Sumgayit.
5.How could your hometown be improved?
My hometown is getting more beautiful day by day. For its development and beautification, the head of the Sumgayit City Executive Authority takes many measures. The beautiful places created in Sumgait city, Nizami Cinema, Sumgait Drama Theater, House of Culture, History Museum, Flag Museum, Sumgait Boulevard, etc. An example can be given. After the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Sumgait in 2011, Sumgait Boulevard was established in 2016.
6.Has your hometown changed much since you were a child?
Yes, it has changed a lot. The city of Sumgait is changing and becoming more beautiful day by day. In my childhood, there were not so many places to visit in the city of Sumgayit. Today, Sumgait city is one of the most beautiful cities in Azerbaijan.
