CONCLUSION
From the information given above, it can be concluded that “listening” is the most difficult one of the four skill (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing )
and this skill is a process that causes the most problems among English language learners.
That's why, in this course work, facts about the difficulties and inconveniences of the “listening” process and how to eliminate them, theories about what is the listening in general, how to make it easier or how to deliver it conveniently to the listener, and the opinions and advice of several scientists about “listening” are given.
In the subchapter 1.1, you can find an answer to the question “what is listening in general?” Listening is the reception of sounds, voices, words and sentences, in other words, receiving information through the ears. This skill is the one that people should pay more attention to than any other skill. Because listening plays an important role not only in English, but also in any foreign language, and of course, communication in these languages ​​will not possible and perfect without listening.
In the subchapter 1.2, you will learn about what makes the listening skill difficult. For example, the information you are listening may have been heard in a different way. Because the English language is full of sounds and words that sound alike. Or the person or thing you are hearing ,they're out of your control, you can't ask them something you didn't hear, or vice versa. Or the age of the listener is important, they can be very young or old. Or there may not be good conditions for the listening process to be clear. All of the above make the listening difficult.
The subchapter 1.3 is written about why we need to listen and understand English. For example, we can learn to listen English just for pleasure, for travel, for work or business.
The subchapter 1.4 contains information about 6 myths of listening and things that can improve our listening skill (podcasts, online listings sites, news, music and videos).
